This summer is gonna rule so hard with the upcoming Monsters on the Mountain Festival, brought to you once again from the creators of Monsters of Rock Cruise! Judas Priest Adds Additional Tour Dates to the “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American Tour Dates with Queensrÿche


Judas Priest announced last week that Queensrÿche will be the direct support band on the rescheduled “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American tour dates, taking place next spring. The band has now booked addtional dates added to the tour which you can see below. Judas Priest was forced to postpone two-dozen North American shows on its rescheduled 50th-anniversary tour in late September after the band’s guitarist Richie Faulkner suffered an acute cardiac aortic dissection during a performance at the Louder Than Life festival. He ended up undergoing a 10-hour life-saving surgery a short distance away at Rudd Heart and Lung Center at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Tickets are on sale now.

Judas Priest Taps Queensrÿche as Direct Support on the Rebooked “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American Tour Dates


Heavy Metal Gods Judas Priest has announced that Queensrÿche will be the direct support band on the rescheduled “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American tour dates, taking place in March through April 2022. According a published report by Blabbermouth and Ticketmaster, the tour dates will kick off on March 7 in West Valley City, Utah and conclude on April 11 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. A complete list of shows can be found on Ticketmaster. Queensrÿche recently pulled out of the Scorpions rescheduled “Sin City Nights” Las Vegas residency tracking place at the same time. Queensrÿche Guitarist Parker Lundgren Has Stepped Down from the Band


Surprising news as longtime member of Queensrÿche, Parker Lundgren has announced he is leaving the band to pursue other business ventures. This news comes from a post actress the Queensrÿche social pages. Parker has been a member of the band for ten years and was a tour guitarist prior to that time for a few years. No announcement yet who the replacement will be. This news follows the ongoing drama surrounding drummer Scott Rockenfdeld, who has been on a hiatus from the band for four years, but has launched his own QR curated website and insists he is still a member of the band. Queensrÿche is in Florida at singer Todd LaTorre’s house, working on the followup to the excellent 2019 album The Verdict (Century Media) with legendary producer Chris ”Zeuss” Harris. .

ALBUM REVIEW: Lunar Shadow – Wish to Leave


Despite promising to move away from Heavy Metal in favor of a Post Punk sound in marketing materials, Lunar Shadow’s third album still features many of the band’s established quirks. The guitar tone’s lessened distortion promises a less in-your-face attitude, but the actual playing is still based around intricate sweeps and trills. The drumming also continues to mix in some aggressive fills and double bass patterns with the more upbeat rhythms while the vocal delivery still consists primarily of a shrill wail with some variation for mood.

Scott Rockenfeld Says He is Still a Member of Queensryche


Silent for many years since going on an apparent hiatus 2017, Scott Rockenfeld says he is still a member of Queensryche and the fans “have not been given the facts, by any means.” Scott hasn’t recorded or performed with the band for four years at this point and did not appear on the 2019 album The Verdict (Century Media Records). Drums on the album were performed by vocalist Todd La Torre and live drumming has been provided by Casey Grillo. Rockenfeld promised more details soon.
