Mr. Bungle Adds Incredible Bands As Openers for 2020 Mini Tour

Mr. Bungle set the music world on its ear by announcing a mini-comeback tour with six shows in total in 2020 in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. The hand-picked openers includes Cattle Decapitation, Possessed, Hirax, the Melvins, Ho99o9, C*nts and Spotlights, reflecting a mix of artists that both influenced the Eureka-born outfit’s 1986 demo, The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny, as well as current bands that the musicians are both fans of and feel are carrying on the spirit of that era, both musically and in attitude. Carcass, Intronaut, and Xibalba are The Final Bands For Decibel Metal and Beer Fest LA 2019

Decibel Magazine has revealed that Carcass will headline day two of the second edition of the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: L.A. at the Observatory in Santa Ana on December 13-14, 2019. Intronaut (performing for the first time in over two years) and Xibalba also join an already-stacked bill featuring Possessed, Nails, Vio-lence, Cadaver (in their U.S. debut performance), Schammasch (also in their U.S. debut performance), Gatecreeper, Evoken, Spirit Adrift, Visigoth, Mortuous and Graf Orlock. Featured Breweries include Unibroue (Canada) and Metal Monkey (IL), Three Floyds (IN), Burial (NC), Wake (IL), Hoof Hearted (OH), Stone (CA), Three Weavers (CA), Societe (CA), Modern Times (CA) and Brimming Horn Meadery (DE). FESTIVAL REVIEW: Tons of Rock 2019

After six years at the Fredriksten Fortress in at Halden Norway, it was clear Tons of Rock needed more space. So here we are in the biggest city in Norway, Oslo, at the new home for the festival. From my American point of view, this was wonderful to see so many bands I have enjoyed but haven’t made it across the sea. With three stages and forty bands, two of the said stages named in honor of famous Norwegian expressionist artist Edvard Munch. The Scream and Vampire had an electric mix of hard and most styles of metal. In addition to the campgrounds, there was plenty of rides, painted art and music for sale to browse on these bright and sunny Oslo days. Continue reading

We are just hours away from the start of Norway’s biggest Rock and Metal Festival of the Year, Tons of Rock! Ghost Cult will be on hand to cover the sights and sounds of the fest and bring you coverage via our socials as well as a full review and photo set after the festival. Taking place from 27-to the 29th of June at Ekebergsletta in Oslo, Norway, the successful festival entered into a partnership earlier this year with Live Nation Norway, for this and future editions of the festival! There was a pre-party last night at the Oslo Opera House where Accept performed with a Symphony Orchestra!
