Rock royalty band 3rd Secret, featuring Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron, has shared a new music video for “Rhythm Of The Ride”. The song was recorded by Erik Friend and mixed by longtime Seattle producer Jack Endino. The band, surprise-released its self-titled debut album, recorded and mixed by Endino, on April 11th, 2022, and also includes whose lineup is rounded out by Bubba Dupree, guitarist for D.C. hardcore outfit Void and alt-metal supergroup Hater, and vocalists Jennifer Johnson and Jillian Raye (Giants In The Trees). Bourbon & Beyond Festival 2022 has announced its lineup and has major Hard Rock artists as headliners! Pearl Jam, Jack White, Brandi Carlile, Alanis Morissette, Kings of Leon, Greta Van Fleet, and Chris Stapleton, The Doobie Brothers will headline the four-day festival. This year’s event expands to a four-day festival for the first time, with fans descending upon Louisville, Kentucky’s Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center from September 15th-18th, 2022.
The behemoth Artemis 1 moon rocket is being “cleared for liftoff” and “making reverberations” in a new NASA video featuring music from Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder.. The clip quotes lyrics are from the song “Invincible” on Vedder’s new solo record, and worldwide #1 rock album, Earthling. The single and album both have themes of exploration, NASA’s Artemis programs’ lunar mission focus. The fully assembled rocket, which will launch the uncrewed Artemis 1 mission around the moon in May or June, was rolled out to its launch pad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the first time on March 17.Continue reading
Pearl Jam has announced new and rescheduled US tour dates, stemming back to the start of the pandemic in 2020. Their album Gigaton was released at the start of the pandemic and the band has not toured behind it. Dates are booked for May and September 2022. The updated routing also includes four additional concert dates in Fresno, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Camden. Josh Klinghoffer’s (ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers) solo project, Pluralone, will open all dates on this tour. Klinghoffer will also join Pearl Jam as a touring member on these dates. A special ticket pre-sale for all tour dates begins today for current eligible Pearl Jam Ten Club members (active as of Sunday, March 13). There will be no general public sale. All public tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration. Verified Fan ticket registration is open now through Sunday, March 27 at 10 p.m. PT and the Verified Fan Onsale begins Tuesday, March 29 at 10 a.m. local time.
Rocker Daughtry has shared a new cover of Temple of the Dog’s 1990s classic song “Hunger Strike” as a tribute to Chris Cornell, who died four years ago. The track features LaJon Witherspoon of Sevendust on co-lead vocals, in the role Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam had on the original track. Check out the track with a cool visualizer below.
