ALBUM REVIEW: Cannibal Corpse – Violence Unimagined

In a bizarre story out of the Cannibal Corpse camp, lead guitarist Pat O’Brien was arrested Monday, December 10th after a fire at his Tampa Home set off an arsenal of ammunition, preventing fire firefighters from stopping the blaze due to gunfire. According to NBC affiliate WFLA, “Hillsborough County firefighters were able to get the fire under control after about an hour but struggled due to the ammunition inside exploding due to the flames. Crews remained at the scene throughout the night and kept the road blocked long off after the fire was put out.” In addition to the fire, at the same time, O’Brien was involved at an altercation at a Neighbors’ house involving a burglary, and a knife, in which O’Brien attacked officers responding to the call and was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. It is unknown at this time if the two incidents, the fire, and the burglary, are related. Cannibal Corpse was announced as the opening act on Slayer’s spring 2019 headline tour of America, and he once filled in for Slayer on lead guitar. Read the full news report below.
