In a statement posted on social media, Maryland Deathfest is going on hiatus after the next MDF event in May 2022. That means in 2023 all of their related festivals are going on hiatus, including MDF, Netherlands Deathfest, California Deathfest, and more. MDF has operated for almost 20 years, put on 19 fests, and expanded to a global footprint, all while giving a greater voice to Death Metal, Avant-Garde Metal, Stoner Doom, and more genres, perhaps as much or more than any fest in the world. Quebec Deathfest – Live At Various Venues
The first ever Quebec Deathfest took place last month, from the folks that brought you Maryland Deathfest, Netherlands Deathfest, and more. Taking place across several venues in the metal capital of Canada, Quebec, the fest had many of the highlights of other festivals (multiple stages, vendors, lots of beer) that make this a worthy inclusion of your annual concert calendar. Ringworm Announce US Tour, Begin Europe Tour This Weekend
Cleveland metallic hardcore outfit Ringworm has announced their forthcoming North American tour with Macabre and Panzerfaust, starting on October 3rd in St. Louis, MO. Their European tour begins on Saturday, August 2nd at The Stateless Society Open Air Festival in Berlin, Germany.
Their Relapse debut, Hammer of the Witch, was produced by Ben Schiegel (Chimaira, Walls of Jericho) at Spider Studios in Cleveland, OH. Band vocalist Human Furnace handled the album’s cover art.
