William DuVall to Host Livestream Acoustic Performance This Week

Alice In Chains singer/guitarist William DuVall will host another solo acoustic livestream this Friday, November 27 @ 8PM EST. DuVall has been doing live streams during the pandemic since his world tour to support his solo album One Alone (DVL Records) was postponed. William will appear next week with Alice In Chains as they will receive the Founders Award at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop) in Seattle, virtually, with a celebration for the band from peers and luminaries. Alice In Chains frontman William DuVall bummed that his upcoming tour of UK and Europe this month was canceled, will host a live stream a performance via his Facebook page today/tonight to everyone, on what would have been the start of the tour. The Live Stream concert will start today at 4:00 PM Eastern U.S. time, which is 20:00 UK time – via the link below. He’ll be performing songs from his debut solo acoustic album One Alone (DVL Records), which features a mix of news songs and reimagined tracks from over his entire thirty-plus-year career in music. REVIEW: William DuVall: Live at Cutting Room

If you have read these web pages of Ghost Cult, you know one of our favorite albums of 2019 is the solo début album from William DuVall of Alice In Chains. While many know him for fronting that legendary band since their comeback in 2006. However, as discussed in our review of One Alone, Duvall’s lengthy career has traversed genres and time-space in a way that all great singer/songwriters can. The album is introspective, yet fiery and lends itself to this solo setting. With the artist doing a brief tour to promote the release, we were excited to see a new side of the man in person at Cutting Room in midtown east neighborhood of Manhattan. Continue reading →

Singer William DuVall (Alice In Chains) Books Solo Tour Dates

William DuVall has already made a splash as a solo artist that looks to see him step out from his other gig as the co-lead singer of Alice In Chains. His first solo album, One Alone, is an all-acoustic affair. As William describes it, “I felt the need to peel everything back. This album is strictly one voice, one guitar. It reveals the very core of who I am as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter.” The album’s first single, ‘Til The Light Guides Me Home’, is out now. Longtime Alice In Chains singer William DuVall will release his debut solo album One Alone via his own DVL Recordings. The album will be a solo acoustic release. No stranger to acoustic fare, DuVall performed unplugged with Comes With The Fall, his pre-Alice In Chains band, as well las with Jerry Cantrell’s solo band. In addition to being a noted rock and RnB producer before AIC, he also has been a member of hardcore punk bands Awareness Void Of Chaos, Neon Christ, Bl’ast!, and Final Offering.
