GHOST CULT PRESENTS: Metal Assault Celebrate 12-Year Anniversary with Three-Day Festival Weekend + Beer Launch in 2022

Los Angeles, California based metal blog turned record label Metal Assault will be celebrating the 12-year anniversary of its February 13, 2010 inception with a two-day festival, February 12th and 13th 2022 at Transplants Brewing, a brewery plus live music venue in Palmdale CA. In addition, Metal Assault is also hosting a pre-party on Friday February 11, at Supply and Demand in Long Beach CA. The weekend will feature an eclectic assortment of 22 bands, including several representatives from the Metal Assault Records roster, as well as some non-roster bands that Metal Assault has supported and worked with over the years, plus a few local opening acts.

Old Blood Shares New Video For “Pentahead”

ALBUM REVIEW: Old Blood – Acid Doom

It’s oddly satisfying when an album’s title is also an accurate descriptor for the music it contains. This is more or less the case with Old Blood’s second full-length album, Acid Doom (DHU Records/Metal Assault Records). While the group’s style may not be crushing in the traditional sense, their brand of Heavy Psych has a dark sultriness that should sit well with fans of groups like Uncle Acid and Blood Ceremony. And considering the four-year gap since their self-titled debut, it’s fair to say that things have only gotten more off-the-wall in that time.

Old Blood Vocalist Feathers is Departing The Band, Final Show Next Month

Bummer news as California-based Psychedelic Stoner band Old Blood has announced their singer Feathers is departing the group for other opportunities. They have their last gig booked together on May 10th at Petie’s Place in Tarzana, CA, and have a replacement lined up, but as yet unannounced. Old Blood is tight and we love their sound.
