Legendary Rhode Island hardcore punk band and activists Dropdead have released a ten-song, digital compilation of unreleased demos via the Armageddon Label, and offshoot of the Armageddon Records shops in New England. The sales from the release will go to fund a new van after theirs was stolen in Montreal June first. The band continues to work on new music for release at a future date, as frontman Bob Otis recovers slowly from his 2017 motorcycle accident. The band recently got off tour (when their van was stolen), performed at Maryland Deathfest this year and has booked other shows this year, such as the legendary Obscene Extreme Festival next month. Please support this band any way you can!Continue reading
Putrid Offal has been confirmed for this year’s Obscene Extreme Festival in Trutnov, Czech Republic. The band will be supporting their recently released album Mature Necropsy, out now via Kaotoxin Records.
The band also just announced the addition of Laye Louhenapessy to the line-up as their official skin brutalizer behind the drum kit. Laye is no stranger to Kaotoxin fans, as he’s also the drummer for Dehuman whose second full-length, Graveyard of Eden is currently available for pre-order (March 9 release). Laye’s live premiere with Putrid Offal was February 15 for the live-in-the-studio recording the band performed for French cult radio show Killing Machine.

North American edition for 2015, to take place in Montreal CAN, August 20-23. Curby/Obscene, Obscene Extreme founder says :
Some of you can be surprised why we choose Canada for another American Obscene Extreme. We have been trying hard to find a good venue in the US for over a year. I was simply trying everything, asked my friends, asked the OEF friendly bands, everyone I know and almost every person mentioned Canada as the place very close to Europe.
Well, and of course when people mention Canada they always mention Montreal as the place with huge metal/punk/hardcore scene and simply a lovely city to visit! When bands used to come for rare gigs they would always go up there. It has been known to have concerts that come closest to being in Europe.
So another year, another country, another adventure!!!
I personally can’t wait to meet all the loyal American OEF fans and supporters face to face!
I want to say that we are very serious about this festival (as any other OE festival) and we’ll try to set up a solid line-up for the first volume and try to anchor here for some more crazy shows and years.
Be there or fuck off!!!
