Remembering Reed Mullin, Drummer for Corrosion of Conformity (1966-2020)

So far, 2020 has been a cruel mistress as the reaper has claimed several giants of the drumming world. One that hits us particularly hard is the sudden death of Wiliam “Reed” Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity, at the young age of 53. Reed was not only a stellar drummer and musician, but he was also almost universally loved by the Hardcore Punk, Thrash Metal, Doom and Stoner Rock community, which is both amazing and insane. It just goes to show the talent Reed had and the breadth of different styles he helped encompass with C.O.C. Stoner Metal greats Corrosion of Conformity (a.k.a., C.O.C.) has announced a run of spring 2020 tour dates for Europe and the UK! The twelve headline show dates will see direct support from Arizona’s Spirit Adrift. The remaining dates will be festival shows, including appearances at Desertfest London and Berlin. Corrosion of Conformity, continue to tour behind their excellent early 2018 release No Cross, No Crown, out now on Nuclear Blast. They have teamed up with their brethren in Crowbar for a US tour. COC frontman Pepper Keenan and Crowbar leader Kirk Windstein have a friendship that goes back decades and they were both members of doom metal supergroup Down from 1991 to 2013. The brotherhood of the Almighty Black Label Society brought its POWAH and PAIN to the Chicago chapter in the Grimmest of ways on January 3rd 2018. Loud and Proud is how Zakk Wylde does it to kick off the New Year on an ice-filled, frozen city kind of evening. With Zakk embarking tours supporting Book of Shadows II (eOne), Zakk Sabbath, and of course performing with Ozzy it’s been over 2 years since BLS has taken the Blessed Hellride. The family of the House of Blues Chicago BLS DOOM crew came out in droves and packed the hall to the limit on a sub-zero night in Chicago. The house wasn’t heating up inside, it was burning up!
