Tool Kicks Off Headline Tour At Northern Invasion, Hosts First Ever Fan Clinic


Tool closed out the weekend in Somerset, Wisconsin last night as the final headliner of Northern Invasion Festival. It was the first night of their current headline tour, including a stop at next weekend’s Rock On The Range Festival. They played am eleven songs, including the rarely performed live hit song ‘Sober’. The band also hosted their first-ever Music Clinic Friday nght, 5/11 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Tool Makes A Statement About Officially Recording Their New Album


In a post on their official website, Tool has confirmed that they are in the studio working on their new album. Guitarist Adam Jones has been sharing updates via his Instagram account, as well as allowing guests to come in like Tom Morello, Nergal, Buzz Osbourne, and Sebastian Bach come in and hear the unfinished album, and discuss it publicly. The band has been notoriously guarded throughout their career of the process they take to make albums, so this marks a big change. Read on as they invite fans to share in the updates for them. Adam Jones Confirms A New Tool Album Is Getting Closer To Completion


Critics and fans alike have been getting a lot of teases from members of Tool regarding a new album, and whether it will actually happen in 2018. Adam Jones has been sharing video and photos showing some new progress here and there. Now in an Instagram Live chat captured by Metal Injection, Jones confirmed that the music for the new album is complete, and lyrics are “coming in hard”. Tool Has Recorded A New Version Of 1992 Track Opiate, Video To Follow Soon
