Quicksand Shares New Single and Animated Video – “Inversion”


New York post-Hardcore legends Quicksand (Gorilla Biscuits/Deftones members) have shared a new single and inventive animated video for the track “Inversion.” The standalone single follows their 2017 full-length album Interiors. The video features artwork by Japanese artist Tetsunori Tawaraya animated by Los Angeles-based artist Rob Fidel. Quicksand’s current lineup includes frontman/guitarist Walter Schreifels, bassist/guitarist Sergio Vega and drummer Alan Cage. Watch it now!

Metalcore leaders August Burns Red have shared a new single “Extinct by Instinct (Reprise)” – a stripped-down and reimagined version of a track from their 2020 album Guardians. ABR, led by JB Brubaker [lead guitar], Brent Rambler [rhythm guitar], Matt Greiner [drums], Jake Luhrs [lead vocals], and Dustin Davidson [bass] released this along with their recent singles “Standing in the Storm” and “Chop Suey!” – made famous by System of A Down. Fear Factory Confirms New Album This Year, New Single Due out Soon


According to a new report by Metal Injection, Fear Factory’s long-awaited new album, and final release with vocalistBurton C. Bell, is due out sometime this spring. According to guitarist Dino Cazares joined Death Angel’s Ted Aguilar for an interview and said the new album should be out within the next “two or three months”. A single from the album is also expected soon. Dino recently shared some riffs off of the album via a playthrough/teaser.

David Ellefson Will Release New Solo Single, “Simple Truth”, in April


Megadeth bassist David Ellefson will release “Simple Truth”, the new single from his solo band ELLEFSON, in April, with all proceeds going to Italian COVID-19 relief. The track, co-written by Ellefson and vocalist Thom Hazaert, with Italian guitarist and drummer Andy Martongelli and Paolo Caridi, will appear on the upcoming follow-up to David’s 2019 release Sleeping Giants. The album is a compilation featuring several new songs and reworkings of previous Ellefson instrumental solo material co-written and produced by Ellefson and Hazaert. Sleeping Giants was released as a companion album “soundtrack” to Ellefson’s 2019 biography More Life With Deth, also co-written with Hazaert. The group worked on the album remotely, recording tracks in Italy, London, Phoenix, and Wisconsin during the quarantine.Continue reading
