CONCERT REVIEW: Knotfest Roadshow – Slipknot – Killswitch Engage – Fever 333 – Code Orange Live at DTE Energy Music Theatre


Entering DTE Energy Music Theatre was like walking into a theme park. There is a reason why it was rated first in the world for Pollstar’s 2019 year’s end rankings. Last weekend an army of black shirts with dyed hair walked through the outdoor amphitheater’s large gates. The late afternoon was pregnant with the infancy of Autumn which carried a refreshing crispness in the air. The tingly weather placed the multitude of concert goers in a rambunctious mood. The well-groomed music venue is accompanied with exceptional landscaping and pretty restaurants that set a peaceful tone which would be greatly contradicted with the night of mayhem ahead. Slipknot was in town, and they brought the Knotfest Roadshow with them.

Watch Foo Fighters Cover Queen Classic “Somebody To Love”


Foo Fighters closed out the awesome BottleRockNapa Music, Food, Wine and Brew Festival in Northern California on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 and our review is coming soon! In a set heavy with early classic mateiral, hits, new album favorites, and covers, the Foos pulled out the big guns, as in drummer Taylor Hawkins on lead vocals, as they often do. Swapping with Dave Grohl, who jumped on the drums, Hawkins led the band in a fiery cover of Queen’s classic song “Somebody To Love!” Check it out!

Metallica Pulls Out of Sonic Temple and Louder than Life Fests, Citing Personal Issues


Metallica has pulled out of their upcoming expected headline gigs at Sonic Temple this spring and Louder than Life next fall. This is due to James Hetfield’s ongoing recovery work and a need to prioritize his personal self-care, which has suffered in recent years. The band will honor all other shows this year, including Welcome To Rockville. Tool and The Red Hot Chili Peppers will step in for both festivals. BottleRock Napa Valley the annual music festival, wine, beer and gourmet food aficionado experience will host it’s 2016 edition over Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29) this year. Heading up the lineup will be The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Florence + the Machine, and Stevie Wonder, joined by The Lumineers, Death Cab for Cutie, Lenny Kravitz, Ziggy Marley, Walk The Moon, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and many more.
