Mudvayne Reunites After A 12-Year Break, Booked to Play All Four Danny Wimmer Presents 2021 Festivals
Mudvayne is back! As we reported they would several months ago, they have announced their return after a 12-year hiatus, and will be performing exclusively at all four Danny Wimmer Presents U.S. festivals in 2021: Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival (a headlining performance) in Ohio, Louder Than Life in Kentucky, Aftershock in California and Welcome To Rockville in Florida. These dates mark the band’s first shows since 2009 and their only dates this year. The band shared a video announcement which you can watch here:

Mudvayne Rumored to Be Plotting a Comeback Tour in 2021
From the rumor mill department: music tour prognosticator and the occasional scourge of the music industry, Wolverine Kills, has shared a new post on Facebook touting that Nu-Metal legends Mudvayne are planning to reunite and tour in 2021. Although no evidence is provided, considering the source, this may very well be true. Wolverine Kills is often stunningly accurate at predicting tours and leaking them early, ahead of announcements. Other than dominating memes in 2019, Mudvayne has been dormant for a decade following the release of their 2009 self-titled release and tour followed. The band formed in 1996 and had their breakthrough in 2000 with their album L.D.50. Vocalist Chad Gray has been the frontman of HELLYEAH, while guitarist Greg Tribbett formed Audiotopsy after departing HELLYEAH in 2014, along with drummer Matthew McDonough. Bassist and internet sensation Ryan Martnie has a Jazz-rock band Soften the Glare. We’d welcome a return by Mudvayne and will update fans on any news that develops from this story.Continue reading
ALBUM REVIEW: Jinjer – Macro
Jinjer has got to be right up there when it comes to the busiest bands in all of hard music today. Just examining their 2019 schedule leads me to notice that they kicked things off with the Micro EP, toured Europe, launched their first headlining North American run this Fall and somehow still found studio time to assemble their fourth proper LP Macro (Napalm Records) just in time for another Euro trek. Ryan Martinie Casts Doubt On a Mudvayne Reunion
In a new interview with Metal Sucks, bassist Ryan Martinie has revealed that he doubts the acrimony that led the split from Mudvayne will ever be healed and that the band may never return from hiatus. The crucial second wave Nu Metal band released their debut EP in 1997 but has not released new music since 2010’s self-titled album. “Man, there’s always talk [about us coming back],” he said. “Which is a good thing. I’m fortunate enough that the thing that we made together still garners some kind of interest from our fans and for those people who may have wanted to see us and never got to. I’m twelve years old and watching MTV at Jennifer Mones’ house. I’m trying my best attempt at humor and charm, but a boy can only do so much while sporting a bootleg Chicago Bulls jersey. Invidia (the brainchild of In This Moment’s Travis Johnson and former Skinlab guitarist Brian Jackson) aims to be the sonic version of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky, and makes no bones about it.
