Psycho Las Vegas 2020 Canceled, Festival Set to Return in 2021

Psycho Las Vegas has shared the bad news that they have canceled the 2020 festival that was set for August due to ot the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Psycho Las Vegas 2021 has been scheduled to August 19-22, 2021. “Nearly all the bands” have agreed to return for the 2021st dates. It’s a bit too early to be making any proclamations of the sort, but I think Midnight may have just released the most metal album of 2020. And yes, there will likely be scores of other heavy releases this year that will overshadow Rebirth by Blasphemy (Metal Blade) in the blast beat, low tuning, or cookie monster vocal department. Electric Wizard Books Fall US Tour


UK Doom Metal greats Electric Wizard will return to the US this fall for a tour. Dates include St. Petersburg, FL, Atlanta, GA, Silver Spring, MD, Brooklyn, NY, Philadelphia, PA and Worcester, MA. Direct support on all dates to come from Midnight. The tour follows last month’s Psycho Las Vegas Festival. The band will perform songs from the band’s nine albums in a twenty-five-year-long career. They continue to support their acclaimed 2017 album Wizard Bloody Wizard. Since its release, the band has played select shows in the United States and overseas including high profile appearances at the likes of London’s iconic Shepard’s Bush Empire, Up In Smoke (Switzerland), Deathfest (Netherlands), and more. Roadburn 2019 – A Fest of a Different Color


Roadburn, now in its 20th year, is a fest I had promised I would start going to many, many years ago but for one reason or another never did. This year I went and although it is like other music fests in some ways, I can say that it is equally unlike other fests in many other ways. Today is the day! After the pre-fest party last night, the sold-out Roadburn 2019 kicks off today, and for the next four days in Tilburg, Netherlands will smash you a full slate of bands. Major artists like Sleep, At The Gates, Thou, Cave In, Old Man Gloom, Daughters, Myrkur and more will perform in intimate settings you won’t see at any other festival. The fest even added last minute local artists Doodswens (Dutch for Deathwish), a two-piece black metal group that we’ll have our ears peeled for.
