Mew Books Fall Tour, Plus- Minus Album Out Now

Danish alternative rockers MEW have announced a headline tour of the USA this fall. Kicking off in San Diego on September 17th and trooping across the country, wrapping up in Boston on October 11th.. The band is promising a career spanning set list for the tour with many fan-favorite and hits such as ‘Zookeeper’s Boy,’ ‘Am I Wry? No,’ ‘Comforting Sounds,’ and ‘Snow Brigade,’ along with new tracks like ‘Satellites,’ ‘Water Slides,’ and ‘Witness’. MEW is out on the road in support of their first album in six years + – a.k.a. plus-minus (PIAS), which was released in April.

MEW vocalist Jonas Bjerre commented on the tour:

“We are thrilled that we will finally be returning to North America to tour. It’s been too long and we can’t wait to play for our U.S. and Canadian fans again.”

Following a successful week of concerts at SXSW, Danish alt-prog rockers Mew is streaming their new Anders Malmberg directed music video for “Water Slides,” off their upcoming album +- (as in ‘plus minus’), due out April 28, 2015 via PIAS America below. Currently on tour in Asia with a full European schedule for this summer, Mew plans to tour North America extensively beginning later this year.

Danish indie/experimental outfit MEW is confirmed to appear at this year’s South By Southwest Festival in Austin, TX. They are supporting +- out April 28, 2015. The album was produced by Michael Beinhorn (Hole, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Bloc Party‘s Russell Lissack makes a guest appearance.

Mew Streaming “Satellites”; New Album +- Due April 28

Danish indie prog-rock/noisemeisters Mew is releasing their new album +- (as in “plus minus) on April 28, 2015 in North America via Play It Again Sam and features the band’s original line up of Jonas Bjerre (vocals), Bo Madsen (guitar), Johan Wohlert (bass), and Silas Utke Graae Jorgensen (drums). Stream “Satellites” here.

Mew will support +- with international touring, beginning with the band’s first American show in six years scheduled to take place in March at SXSW. The band has confirmed a string of European dates for May, major European festivals, and will return to North America for a full tour late summer/fall 2015.
