In a new interview, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge claims it’s “likely” that the Cardinal Copia persona will return for their next album. The band has previously teased in social media and interviews that the Papa Emeritus character would return someday. Asked by Australia’s The Music podcast, and transcribed by Blabbermouth.net, Forge said: “I have a vague idea of what’s in store. Ghost just concluded their biggest year ever with the final show of their tour at Brooklyn NY’s Barclays Center. The band also performed at The Los Angeles Forum and all over the country during the “A Pale Tour Named Death”. They toured all over the world supporting their critical and commercial hit album Prequelle (Loma Vista Recordings), which was also The Ghost Cult Album of the Year in our writers poll. The band will start next year with more headline tours, opening for Metallica’s arena tour and music festivals.
