Rock USA Festival Has Been Forced to Cancel Their 2020 Event Due To COVID-19

Rock USA  and its sister festival Country USA has been forced to cancel their 2020 events due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The festival, one of the biggest in the US, was to have celebrated its 10th-anniversary edition this summer, and was going to take place July 16-18 at Ford Festival Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Of the 40 bands and headliners and support acts included Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Rob Zombie (headlining for a 3rd straight year), Halestorm, Ice Cube, Papa Roach, Anthrax, Chevelle, Avtar, Feever333, Hellyeah, Steel Panther, Knocked Loose, Bad Wolves, Attila and more. Detroit Radio Station WRIF’s Riff Fest, which was to feature Rob Zombie, Halestorm, Beartooth, The Blue Stones, Escape the Fate, Joyous Wolf, The Black Moods and South of Eden, has been canceled due to the coronavirus (CVID-19) pandemic over safety fears. Slipknot Reschedules Knotfest Japan for January 2021

Slipknot’s Knotfest Japan joins the growing ranks of rescheduled festivals for 2021. Hellfest 2020 is Officially Canceled, 2021 Fest Announced

Crushing news for the summer festival season in Europe, as France’s legendary Hellfest, has been canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The festival announced today it was unable to host the festival, which takes place in Clisson, France, outside of Paris. Hellfest 2021 is already announced for next summer. Roadburn 2020 Officially Canceled, Next Year’s Festival Announced

 

Roadburn Festival has exhausted all thoughts of holding a festival in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They have announced that Roadburn 2021 will take place on 15-18 April 2021. Tickets purchased for the 2020 edition will remain valid and fans can just show up next year and enjoy the festival. Announcements about the lineup are forthcoming, and in terms of bands returning for 2021, it looks promising. Roadburn is far and away the best and most vital underground metal festival in the world, Roadburn has announced that the festival is postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. The fest was scheduled for April 16th and 19th in Tilburg, NL. Curators for 2020 were scheduled to be Emma Ruth Rundle and James Kent (Perturbator) with commissioned pieces including James Kent & Johannes Persson (Cult of Luna), Jo Quail Presents “The Cartographer”, Vile Creature & Bismuth: “A Hymn Of Loss And Hope, and a career-spanning set from Julie Christmas, which included new music-making a debut, and many more. Maryland Death Fest Cancels 2020, and Rebooks 90% of the Bands for 2021

 

Maryland Deathfest organizers postponed this year’s festival. They have just announced new dates for 2021 (May 27-30, 2021) and revealed that almost the full 2020 lineup will play. Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple 2020 are Canceled, Coming Back in 2021

In a sad announcement, Danny Wimmer Presents has regretfully announced the cancellation of Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple Festivals due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. They did announce that the fests will make a comeback in 2021. They are offering FULL Refunds and transfers for next year’s fests. The fall festivals should happen as usual and Metallica will now headline Thursday, September 17 at Louder Than Life.

With a rash of postponements and cancellations, Danny Wimmer Presents, the company that puts on North America’s largest commercial Rock and Metal fests Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville and Epicenter, is advising caution and still figuring out what do do with the upcoming editions of the popular spring festivals. Inferno Festival 2020 Has Been Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Restrictions

Sad news as one of the greatest metal festivals in the world, and a favorite of Ghost Cult, Inferno Festival 2020, set to take place in Oslo, Norway has been totally canceled. The fest was to feature Kreator, Mayhem, Triumph of Death, Amorphis, Venom, Gorgoroth, Marduk, Ihsahn, Kampfar, and many more! According to a message from the festival, “all public events in Norway are banned until the end of April, and this period might be extended. The health authorities estimate 4-5 months.
