Tool Announces a Second “10,000 Days” and “Lateralus” Inspired Collectable Statue by Alex Grey Coming Next Week


Tool has announced another collectible 10,000 Days album artwork-themed collectible statue. The first one was high-priced, but Tool fans snatched them up and sold out quickly. Their second collectible statue ever from the band again is made with their frequent album art collaborator Alex Grey (https://www.cosm.org) and is “The Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture” – Inspired by the 10,000 Days and Lateralus album artwork(s) by Alex Grey. The Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture is a beautiful and unique artwork capturing realistic details in full 1:1 presentation. Serving as a larger, more finished, version of the previously released Maquette study. Limited quantities will be available March 24th @ Noon (EDT). Other than releasing pricey vinyl collections, Tool has recently announced some major festivals with the Danny Wimmer fests.

Earlier this week, Tool began teasing something related to their 10,000 Days album. They have shared another teaser on Instagram, touting a collectible involving that album coming soon. We don’t know exactly what it is, but we are excited! Other than releasing pricey vinyl collections, Tool has been ominously mum since the end of their Fear Inoculum World Tour earlier this year. Other than releasing pricey vinyl collections, Tool has been ominously mum since the end of their Fear Inoculum World Tour earlier this year. In a recent interview with Rick Beato, frontman Maynard James Keenan laid out the next year of activity for one of his bands – Puscifer, who has been super busy with live streams, and new live-in-the-studio albums coming soon. Yet, little mention of Tool or a perfect circle. As first reported by Metal Injection, the band is now teasing something cool, possibly related to their classic album 10,000 Days, which had a 15 year anniversary in 2021. ALBUM REVIEW: Ibaraki – Rashomon


Ibaraki is the new solo project from Trivium’s Matt Heafy, and Rashomon is released through Nuclear Blast, having been over a decade in the making. The name translates as “Wild Trees”, but is also taken from a terrifying Japanese demon of feudal legend, and the concept is a profound affirmation of Heafy’s Japanese-American heritage, incorporating a number of different musical styles. Although the main inspiration clearly sits within the black etal genre, taking influence from the experience of Emperor’s Ihsahn, who co-produced, and whose quirkier ideas from his solo work are peppered throughout the release. Puscifer Books “Existential Reckoning” Headline Tour


Puscifer will bring their theatrical and immersive live show to stages across the USA this summer their first full tour since 2016. They will also appear at Bonnaroo Festival. Featuring Maynard James Keenan (Tool, a perfect circle), Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round tour in support of their album from 2020, Existential Reckoning (Alchemy Recordings/Puscifer Entertainment/BMG). The dates, which kick off June 9 at The Smith Center in Las Vegas, include the group’s largest scale performances to date with shows slated for Los Angeles’ venerable Greek Theatre (site of Keenan’s one-time-only Cinquanta mini festival), Brooklyn’s movie palace-turned-concert-hall Kings Theater and the state-of-the-art Mission Ballroom in Denver. As we previously reported, Puscifer is launching Puscifer TV on November 12th, an on-demand service for the bands video content past, [present, and future. Newly announced is the Maynard James Keenan’s (Tool, aperfectcircle) led “A Curmudgeon’s Guide To Divine Collisions And Pythagorean Oenology” special. It features a candid one-on-one conversation from 2016 “A Perfect Union Of Contrary Things” Book Tour.” The one-on-one conversation with Keenan finds the musician/vintner in New York City discussing the New York Times Best Seller, “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things.” Moderated by legendary radio producer Roxy Myzal, the hour-plus conversation covers all facets of Keenan’s life.
