Ave. in Boston was transformed into an expo with speakers all day talking about various topics regarding music business. Korn – Stone Sour – Skillet: Live At The Xfinity Center


I can’t write a review of a show that fell on July 20th 2017 and not mention the significance of this day to many rock music fans and music fans in general. It would have been the late Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday and hours before the show was supposed to start, news had broken that Chester Bennington, of Linkin Park, also a friend of Chris Cornell’s had taken his own life in a similar fashion to the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman. Needless to say that put a little damper on the show, but it was played on that I believe Chester would have wanted it to.Continue reading


Gorillaz – With Vince Staples: Live At Blue Hills Bank Pavilion


It had been 7 years since the last time Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett better known for their virtual band Gorillaz had graced Massachusetts with their presence. So it made perfect sense that they had a sold out show at the 5000 capacity Blue Hills Bank Pavilion. Instead of hiding behind a backdrop and have the virtual animated characters be front and center, Albarn and Hewlett along with many guests, a choir, and full band performed over 20 songs encompassing their 19-year career over 5 full-length albums.Continue reading
