The Maryland Doom Fest celebrates its fifth anniversary this upcoming June and has confirmed fifty bands including headliners Pentagram, Conan, Earthride, and Mothership. For the first time in its history, MD Doom Fest brings international artists, the mighty Conan from the United Kingdom and Interitum from Tasmania, with another 48 American acts. Maryland Doom Fest 2019 Books Pentagram, Conan, Earthride, Mothership And More For 5th Anniversary

Maryland Doomfest will launch it’s 5th edition in 2019, from June 20th to the 23rd. The bill features fifty of the heavy hitters of the genre such as Pentagram, Conan, Earthride, Mothership and many more. There is also a Pre-Fest Party on Thursday, June 20th, which will also be a 20th Anniversary celebration of the Stoner Hands of Doom Festival (ShoD), with a spectacular lineup. Members Of COC, Bloody Hammers, Demon Eye Form Doom Supergroup Lightning Born

Low-key doom supergroup Lighting Born has formed with members hailing from notable bands such as Corrosion of Conformity Bloody Hammers, Demon Eye, The Hell No, Hour of 13 and Mega Colossus. The doom metal collective with roots in North Carolina and Maryland has signed a world-wide deal with Ripple Music, and are already working on a new album due out in late 2018. Continue reading

The Skull To Perform At South By Southwest

The Skull, featuring former Trouble vocalist Eric Wagner and bassist Ron Holzner, guitarists Lothar Keller and Matt Goldsborough (ex-Pentagram), and new drummer Sean Saley, will be taking part of the 2015 SXSW Music Festival, set for March 17-22, 2015 in Austin, TX. They will supporting Those Which Are Asleep, which can be streamed here.
