According to a published report by Consequence of Sound, in Gilford New Hampshire, The Gilford Police Department has an active arrest warrant for Brian Hugh Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson for two counts of Class A misdemeanor Simple Assault stemming from a 2019 incident at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. At a show at the venue Manson allegedly assaulted a videographer covering the show by spitting on him. Manson and his agent have been made aware of the charges, but it is unclear whether he can be forced to return to New Hampshire to answer the charges. This legal trouble follows by the current case by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigating multiple allegations of sexual assault and abuse stemming from his former fiancee Evan Rachel Wood going public with allegations, among many others.
According to the LA Times, The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is currently conducting an investigation into Marilyn Manson following allegations stemming from, actress Evan Rachel Wood (HBO’s Westworld, True Blood) and at least 11 other women and others detailing years of horrific sexual abuse. The potential case the Sheriff’s office is building is regarding domestic violence claims by Wood and others. Manson has suffered the fallout from this with his music and acting career.
Marilyn Manson has answered allegations from Evan Rachel Wood with charges of “horrific” sexual abuse, grooming and other accusations with a post to his Instagram accounts. Wood shared in her post that Manson “started grooming me when I was a teenager” and “brainwashed and manipulated me into submission..” and she wants “to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”Here is what Manson posted on Monday (February 1):
According to a new post at Metal Sucks, actress Evan Rachel Wood (HBO’s Westworld) has formally accused her former partner, Marilyn Manson of years of horrific sexual abuse, via a new post to her Instagram, Wood shared in her post that Manson “started grooming me when I was a teenager” and “brainwashed and manipulated me into submission..” and she wants “to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives.” In 2019, Wood appeared before the California Senate Public Safety committee on behalf of the Phoenix Act, which seeks to create exceptions to the statute of limitations for domestic violence crimes in the state of California. Although Wood testified and shared many stories as part of that testimony, she declined to name her abuser, saying that “They threatened to kill me or have me killed.” Manson has in the past had the support of former wife Dita Von Teese and ex-girlfriend Rose McGowan, two prominent leaders of the #metoo movement. Manson also fired Twiggy Ramierez from his band over similar claims. Others in the music journalism community sought to connect the dots to her former relationship with Manson, whom she didn’t name until today. So far, Manson has declined to comment. We’ll continue to monitor this story for updates.
