Corrosion of Conformity Streams Their Cover Of “On The Hunt” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, New Tour Dates Incoming


 

Corrosion Of Conformity have released a cover of the Lynyrd Skynyrd track ‘On The Hunt’, taken from the illustrious Southern Rock band’s third studio album Nuthin’ Fancy, released in 1975. This cover version brings a singular C.O.C. swagger and sludge-laden groove to the classic track. This ‘On The Hunt’ cover lands shortly before C.O.C. kick-off their forthcoming three-week tour across the UK and Europe, set to include performances at Desertfest London, Desertfest Berlin, and Soulstone Gathering in Krakow. Lynyrd Skynyrd Guitarist Gary Rossington, The Last Living Orginal Member of The Band, Has Died


 

Sad news as Lynyrd Skynyrd Guitarist Gary Rossington has died. He was the last remaining original member of the band, formed in 1964 as My Backyard. He passed today, March 5th 2023, at the age of 71. No cause of death has been revealed, but Rossington suffered from heart-heath issues, with a heart attack in 2015, and he underwent an emergency heart surgery in 2021. ALBUM REVIEW: Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown – Shake The Roots


 

The American quartet Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have a new album Shake The Roots, and it is the first on their own record label Rattle Shake Records. Their first independent album, and their fifth one overall, comes two years after Pressure and was recorded at frontman Tyler Bryant’s home studio in Nashville. It is a refreshing exploration of blues and rootsy rock, with plenty of dirty grooves, classic rock riffs and southern twang.

From the opening salvo of big bruising rocker ‘Wicked Woman’, you know what Blacktop Mojo’s new self titled album (Cuhmon Records) has in store – a heady mixture of Southern Rock, Grunge and Hard Rock.
