Download Festival 2023 has broken their own record this summer with weekend, day and camping tickets now completely sold out. Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot headline a remarkable year for the UK’s biggest rock festival. Download Festival’s 20th anniversary has become a double celebration, as today the festival sells out, marking 2023 as the fastest-selling year of all time. Day, weekend and camping tickets have been snapped up by fans eager to celebrate an incredible 20 years for the legendary festival. The special anniversary edition, taking place for the first time over four days on 8-11 June 2023 at Donington Park, will feature headliners Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and Metallica, who will perform two headline sets with no repeat songs.

CONCERT REVIEW: Mastodon – Gojira – Lorna Shore Live at Arizona Financial Theater


 

Lorna Shore burst onto the stage with just the right vibe to start this show out. Thundering unrelenting drums colored with technical guitar riffs and solos filled the theater and spawned energetic mosh pits, while the intense vocals topped it all off. In between songs, the singer Will Ramos, threw out positive uplifting comments and platitudes that reminded me why metalheads; despite their rough exterior, are the nicest people you can meet.

Download Festival 2023, celebrating 20 years as a festival has added 40 new bands to the lineup and announced its day-splits for the weekend! Newly added to the festival are Halestorm, Neck Deep, Hot Milk, Alter Bridge, Bob Vylan, Electric Callboy, Carcass, Five Finger Death Punch, Palaye Royale, Jinjer, and many more. The full list can be viewed below. Already the fastest-selling event in its 20-year history. Day tickets are on sale now! The four-day festival (first time ever) is headlined by Metallica, who are performing two unique headline sets over the weekend with no songs repeated, and will be joined by fellow headliners Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon. Gojira and Mastodon to Team up for the “The Mega-Monsters Tour”


 

Gojira and Mastodon are joining forces for an epic co-headline tour in 2023. “The Mega-Monsters Tour” finds these metal bands hitting arenas and amphitheaters throughout the Spring and Summer, alternating closing sets each night. Special guest Lorna Shore serves as direct support on all dates. The tour kicks off at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR on April 18th and includes stops at legendary venues such as the Forum in Los Angeles, CA on April 21st. The first leg concludes at Santander Arena in Reading, PA on May 11th and resumes with a second leg that runs August 9th through September 2nd. Special guest Lorna Shore serves as direct support on all dates. Fan pre-sales for tickets begin January 18th at 10:00am local time and include both Mastodon and Gojira artist pre-sales, alongside Blabbermouth, Spotify and local promoter / venue / radio pre-sales. Fronz Exits The Big Six (Lorna Shore, FFAA, Left To Suffer, Traitors, Infant Annihilator), and Will Be Replaced by Darius Tehrani of Spite


 

In just a few short weeks since forming and announcing their existence to the world, The Big Six has had a lineup change. The Big Six – The Big Six – a deathcore supergroup and self-described “Metal Boy Band” featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, Attila’s Chris Fronzak, Fit for an Autopsy’s Joe Badolato, Left to Suffer’s Taylor Barber, Infant Annihilator’s Dickie Allen, and Traitors’ Tyler Shelton have now lost Fronz as a member. Fronz announced via his Instagram that he is leaving the Big Six and has no longer been involved in the project citing that due to his commitments in Attila, his businesses, and family. Darius Tehrani, frontman of Spite will take his spot. The band scrubbed their socials excepot for one new post, welcoming Darius into the fold. The group recently dropped their first official teaser of original music. The collective recorded their debut EP at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After their cover of Mariah Carey‘s Chirstmas hit and earworm staple “All I Want For Christmas Is You“, the new teaser is more on brand for the group and what the EP will sound like.

The Big Six – the self-described Deathcore “Metal Boy Band” featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, Attila’s Chris Fronzak, Fit for an Autopsy’s Joe Badolato, Left to Suffer’s Taylor Barber, Infant Annihilator’s Dickie Allen, and Traitors’ Tyler Shelton previously announced their formation, name change, and an EP coming out in 2023. Now they have shared a Christmas cover of Mariah Carey’s ubiquitous hit song “All I Want for Christmas Is You!” One of the most played and covered songs ever, the track has also been famously covered by metalcore band August Burns Red. The band recently recorded their debut EP at Fort Wayne, Indiana’s Sweetwater Studios, and shared a lot of shenannignas on social media.
