Ghost Cult Keefy caught up with most of the guys in Locked In A Vacancy! They released their recent EP “Before The Dawn” in December, 2023. They were a key band in the New York Hardcore, Metal, and Death Metal scene in the late nineties and early 2000s, and have opened for the likes of Hatebreed, Biohazard, Candiria, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, The Haunted, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Zao, and many others. Locked In A Vacancy Shares a New Single – “The Burden of Being”
Veteran New York Hardcore/Metalcore band Locked In a Vacancy has shared a new single – “The Burden of Being!” The track is streaming on all DSPs. The band has had a few periods of hiatus over the years since its formation in the mid-1990s, but has been active for sporadic shows and new music since 2018. The band has promised in a post to their socials, there is more new music on the way. In the meantime, enjoy this new track!
Candiria To Headline Rising Pulse Records 10 Year Anniversary Party
Rising Pulse Records, the label owned by John LaMacchia of Candiria, is hosting a 10-year anniversary party this week at Brooklyn Bazaar in Brooklyn. The show will be headlined by Candiria, along with Recon, Netherlands, NYHC veterans Locked In A Vacancy, and SevenSuns. Rising Pulse has been a foil for John to release incredible, challenging music from his own Spylacopa, and also Julie Christmas, Meek Is Murder, Kevin Hufnagel, A Family Plot, Morn and more.
