While some were out hunting for Easter eggs, headbangers had a special treat of their own to look forward to in the form of the eOne Heavy Livestream. With five bands and almost four hours of footage, the livestream was a strong showcase of the label’s impressive heavy roster.

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Melvins TV: Volume 2 – Divine Monkeyshines Valentine’s Day Special

A Melvins Valentine’s Day Special……. Yeah…….. let that sink in for a moment. If you were anything like me you started with a puzzled look that slowly turned into a grin as the gears began turning trying to imagine what this could entail. With Covid changing the game everyone has had to dig into their bag of tricks and hustle like never before. It’s like touring (thanx to social media) has turned into who can be more creative and really tap into what they think their fans are going to want. So, a lot of bands have been going the route of the “Live Stream ”, but how the hell do you get ppl to pay to watch a band play in front of nobody? I mean it’s like sitting in on a rehearsal, it’s cool but you’re not getting the feels or the energy of the crowd and artist interaction.

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Avatar – Age Of Memories

In a time when the world must take a break from live concerts and events to keep our peers safe, there are few ways for bands to keep their connection with the fans alive. Melodic Death Metal quintet Avatar, however, have found an effective way around that – one in which they not only perform multiple livestreams of full shows but have their fans select the songs they play. Thus, Avatar Ages was born.

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Avatar Ages- Age of Madness Livestream

Avatar took my live stream “virginity” away in this concert Ages|Madness from their series of Livestream concerts titled Ages, which has been running since January 9th and will end this upcoming weekend on January 30th. The Swedish band demonstrated why they are one of the most popular and entertaining bands in the genre right now by giving a performance that very well is worth the “price of admission” that COVID normalcy has given us for these types of events since we cannot go to live shows for the time being. Avatar was able to set a tone and ambiance like no other with this performance which was concentrated on tracks from the albums Black Waltz (Gain Music Entertainment) and Hail the Apocalypse (eOne Music).

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Avatar Ages Review – Chapter 2: Illusions

Avatar is not your ordinary metal band. Melding crushing melodic groove metal with humor and mysticism, Avatar creates something new and intriguing that breaks the mold. LIVESTREAM REVIEW: The Black Dahlia Murder’s – Yule Em All

Ho holy shit, did you catch The Black Dahlia Murder’s holiday livestream? I hope you did because it was a Christmas miracle. Aptly titled “Yule `Em All,” this was definitely not your typical livestream (or Black Dahlia show, for that matter.) Jam-packed with the bands’ trademark sense of humor and brutal riffage, the night was fueled by holiday joy and metal mayhem.

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Puscifer – Existential Reckoning – Live at The Arcosanti

Theatrical Rock troupe Puscifer never does anything small and never has. Everything they do feels like an event level thing in an “it’s all happening” way. In the early days of the band, it was singles and EP’s before their debut album. Then it was a Paul Frank clothing drop or a few shows. Now, even in these trying times choking the music industry, the band finds creative ways to top themselves. They just released their new album, Existential Reckoning (read our review here) and for Halloween, they shared a visually striking, possibly insane, and high-quality multi-media livestream performance, Existential Reckoning – Live at The Arcosanti in the Arizona desert.

LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown – “Pressure”

Nashville-based rockers Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown dropped their highly anticipated album Pressure on Friday, October 16th to rave reviews. Usually, a band who are constantly on the road, the group played their ONLY show of 2020 and crafted a special virtual live stream to celebrate the record release. The invigorating set was sprinkled with songs from across the TBSD catalog, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and backstories on a handful of Pressure tracks. The chatbox during the performance was populated by grateful fans from every corner of the globe, showing the impact of the band worldwide as well as how much live music has been missed these past several months.
