Alice Cooper, who just wrapped up a tour of the UK, has booked a new tour of North America for 2020 for the ongoing “OL’ Black Eyes Is Black” Tour. Lita Ford will be direct support on all date. Cooper just released a tribute EP, Breadcrumbs (earMusic). The legendary rocker will also return to the road for the Fall 2019 leg of the tour. The trek begins on November 3 in Florida before wrapping on November 30 in Illinois. Rocklahoma 2019. Three days in the sun, dust, and more sun over Memorial Day weekend (four days technically if you count the Thursday night pre-party). This was the 12 year of this annual festival and it was set to be one for the books from the get-go. Getting to this massive party was no small task on my part. Captain Marvel finally came out last weekend to smash success, shattering first week expectations. Set in the 1990s the film features an amazing soundtrack to match the film full of pop culture references like Blockbuster Videos, Gameboys, Troll Dolls and that dope vintage Nine Inch Nails shirt (the band is now selling a collabo item). In addition to the Elastica hit song ‘Connection’ heard in the trailer, the film features memorable 1990s tracks by megastars Nirvana, Garbage, Hole, Beck, R.E.M., Salt N Pepper featuring En Vogue, TLC, and No Doubt. The film also features other artists like Heart, Lita Ford, The Hunting Party, The Marvelettes in addition to The Captain Marvel Official Soundtrack Album score by Pinar Toprak. No word yet if the popular songs will be released as a soundtrack yet. The next film in the MCU series from Disney/Marvel Studios is Avengers: Endgame next month.

The Hall of Heavy Metal History Metal Hall of Fame Gala takes place every winter around The NAMM show in Anaheim, CA. Hosted by television, radio personality and heavy metal champion Eddie Trunk (Trunk Nation That Metal Show), and will feature appearances by heavy metal greats of today and years past. The event will feature performances by legendary drummers and Hall of Heavy Metal History inductees Carmine Appice and Vinny Appice, as well as a performance by hard rock/punk icon Jean Beauvoir.
