Lamb Of God Books Dethklok, Chimaira, Poison The Well, At The Gates, Soulfly, COC and More for Headbangers Boat’ 2024


 

Modern metal legends just concluded their debut voyage of their Headbangers Ball Cruise, and now have announced the first bands booked for the 2024 edition. Sailing on the Norwegian Gem ship and cruising to the Dominican Republic, the 2024 cruise will feature Lamb Of God, along with Dethklok, Chimaira, Poison The Well, At The Gates, Soulfly, Corrosion of Conformity and many more. The full lineup so far is below but the exact dates of the cruise are not yet announced. The cruise is organized by Sixthman (Chris Jericho, Coheed and Cambria cruises), which is in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line. There will also be an appearance by Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton’s solo band, as well as stand-up comedy by Shayne Smith and Mike Abrusci. Watch the announcement now by D. Day 1:

At five o’clock in the evening, on Friday, September 15th, masses of music fanatics flooded the streets of Worcester, Massachusetts. What for you ask? The first day of the highly anticipated return of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Despite the oppressive heat, the Concrete Street Amphitheater was transformed into a battlefield of blistering riffs, bone-shaking drums, and adrenaline-fueled madness as metal enthusiasts gathered for a night of unrelenting mayhem headlined by none other than Lamb of God. With the formidable support of opening acts Ice Nine Kills and The Acacia Strain, this concert proved to be an unmissable spectacle for fans of heavy music.

ALBUM REVIEW: Lockjaw – Relentless


 

Setting what surely must be some sort of record, Texan metalcore merchants Lockjaw finally release their full-length studio debut twenty-five years after coming into existence. Formed in 1998, the band garnered a decent live reputation but disappeared shortly into the 2000s. Reactivated with a little tweaking in the personnel department, the independently released ‘Deadlights’ single appeared in 2018 followed by four more songs released over 2021 and 2022. Always moving towards a full-length album, Lockjaw 2.0 now deliver on that promise with Relentless (AISAUS/The Orchard), a record sure to please many a groove metal enthusiast.
