Consisting of desert rock pioneers from the legendary acts Yawning Man and Fu Manchu, supergroup Yawning Balch releases an ever-prolific debut entitled Volume One via Heavy Psych Sounds. Just like the album title, Yawning Balch embarks the first volume of their musical career’s trajectory through this debut.
From the stark desert of Joshua Tree National Park, Rock and Post-Hardcore connoisseurs Senses Fail perform two livestream sets in homage to their classic albums, Still Searching and Let It Enfold You (Vagrant Records). With the former being presented at sunset and the latter at sunrise, they utilize the barren yet persevering environment to bring the deeper meaning of their music to life. A 360-degree track camera and surrounding steadicams capture it all, complemented by flashing lights and projected images of the band’s skeleton mascot beaming from each towering rock.
Senses Fail has announced a series of two livestreams taking place later this month, in which they will perform two of their classic albums in full, at an iconic location. The band filmed live performances of their hit albums Let It Enfold You and Still Searching in their entirety in Joshua Tree at sunrise and sunset. The ‘Still Searching’ set will air on July 29th, with the ‘Let It Enfold You’ set airing the following week on August 5th. The sets are complimented by an elaborate build that was done in the middle of the iconic desert. Thanks to a 360-degree track camera, along with various steadicams surrounding and overhead, fans will be brought into a unique livestream experience with a space that was created just for these performances. Soilwork Drummer Dirk Verbueren commented on working with Toontrack for the première:

Front man Bjorn “Speed” Strid commented on the video and about working with its director, Hristo Shindov:
Recording the video for “Death In General” was absolutely spectacular. After finishing up our North American Tour at The Whisky in Hollywood, we got up at 5am the next morning and drove into the desert. Joshua Tree is truly a magical place and was the perfect setting for this song and the mystical feeling it generates. Blind Melon guitarist Christopher Thorn was very kind to let us use his land for the shoot and he also welcomed us into his home. Director Hristo Shindov and his assistants did a fantastic job, capturing the vibe of the song with stunning footage. The dancers, Daisy and Flannery also did an absolute outstanding job, as they danced in the sunset. Truly magical. We are very proud to present this video for one of the most powerful songs that we have ever written. Hope you enjoy it and that you somewhat can imagine the feeling we had while recording it! We highly recommend sipping on a real good tequila or mezcal while watching it…”
