Sad news 2000trees – home to Punk and alt-Rock legends every summer is postponed for 2021. The fest gave a lengthy statement to fans as to why the fest cannot take place this year, mainly due to the protracted shutdown, and pandemic. On the plus side, the fest will return for 2022 and the new dates will be 7th, 8th and 9th July 2022. Bands confirmed to return in 2022 include Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, The Amazons, Dinosaur Pile Up, Knocked Loose, The Get Up Kids, Dream State, Laura Jane Grace, Anti-Flag, Lonely The Brave, Stick To Your Guns, Deez Nuts, No Devotion, Dragged Under with a third headliner to be announced and over 100 more bands across six stages.
Dropdead, Jimmy Eat World, Panopticon, Best Coast, Goya, members of Landmine Marathon and their related bands, and many more will perform at Butler Fest this Saturday, November 21st, a virtual fest to benefit Landmine Marathon guitarist Ryan Butler and raise funds for expenses related to his recent liver transplant. An Indiegogo campaign has been launched to support the employees of both The Worcester Palladium and Webster theatre, two venues in New England that have been hosts to thousands of metal, hardcore, and rock shows and countless other events for decades. Both venues are operated by Mass Concerts, and the fundraiser is to bring relief aid to their workers due to the cancellation from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
