Fans gathered from around the USA and even the far reaches of the globe to attend the second annual Chicago Open Air festival. Although Rock On The Range, Louder than Life, Aftershock and others wear the crown for the greatest commercial rock and metal festivals in America, COA is poised to challenge both of those fests. Over 70,000 fans from everywhere came out to the fest in one of America’s greatest cities to see 40 bands on two stages. Ghost Cult hit up the 2017 Vans Warped Tour last month in Arizona. In the midst of the brutal heat several bands stood out that day, including metalcore veterans Hawthorne Heights. River City Rockfest – AT & T Center, San Antonio, TX


A blazing hot day in the Texas sun could not dampen the enthusiasm for the Bud Light sponsorded River City Rockfest, in late May. The fans came out heat or no heat to heat to the AT & T Center in San Antonio to rock out. Keeping hydrated and covered was priority number one, but the fun was was never out of of sight. Twenty-two bands played on 4 stages throughout the day and 27,950 fans attneded – the largest crowd in the five-year history of the fest. Continue reading

In venues both small and large across the country, Grammy award winning band Switchfoot and Relient K have hit the road for over 3 months on what was called the “Looking for America Tour”. The names comes from the name of a recent Switchfoot song release from their recent album Where the Light Shines Through (Concord Music). Upon reaching the end of their tour, Switchfoot and Relient K made a stop in Tucson, Arizona at local venue, The Rialto Theatre.
