Milwaukee Metal Fest 2023 has added a slew of new bands including Milwaukee Metal Fest Books Machine Head, Deeds of Flesh, Angelus Apatrida, Midnight, Warbringer, Bodysnatcher, Vended, Malignancy, Morta Skuld, Ripper Owens, Pissing Razors, and many more. Machine Head is a particular coup for the fest since they rarely do festivals, and none in the USA for many, many years. Hatebreed frontman and podcaster Jamey Jasta purchased the rights to the fest name in 2022, the rebooted event will take place on Memorial Day Weekend at The Rave/Eagles club. Zeal and Ardor Books a North American Tour with Sylvaine and Imperial Triumphant

Zeal & Ardor have booked a North America tour for this summer and fall as headliners. The tour kicks off September 11th in Brooklyn and runs through October 7th in Berkeley, California, and includes stops in Canada. The band will also appear at this year’s Aftershock Festival on October 8th. Direct support will come from Sylvaine and Imperial Triumphant. ALBUM REVIEW: Rivers Of Nihil – The Work


It’s been three years since progressive, technical death metal act Rivers of Nihil released the groundbreaking and critically acclaimed Where Owls Know My Name (Metal Blade Records). Three long years which have seen a global pandemic almost bring the entertainment industry to its knees. The fest you have been waiting for is finally happening! The full line-up of Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly – sponsored in part by Metal Blade Records – has rebooked for this fall, 2021! The previously announced headliners Napalm Death, Converge, Pig Destroyer will all appear and play special full-album sets. Joining the bill, Deadguy will reunite their Fixation on a Coworker lineup to perform their first show in nearly 25 years.
