Sólstafir Wins Rock Album of The Year at Icelandic Music Awards


Icelandic post-Metal legends Sólstafir have won the award for ‘Best Rock Album of 2020’ at the Icelandic Music Awards with their 2020 album Endless Twilight of Codependent Love (review here), out now via Season of Mist. The Icelandic Music Awards (Íslensku Tónlistarverðlaunin) can be seen as the Icelandic version of the Grammys. Find more information below. The band recently announced a 2022 co-headline tour with Katatonia, sure to be one of the best tours in the near future.

Une Misère Shares A Trailer From The Studio, New Album Coming Soon


As we reported previously, Icelandic Hardcore Metal butchers Une Misère have signed to Nuclear Blast, and are releasing their new album later in 2019. The band has shared an update from the Sundlaugin Studio, tracking guitars. Check it out below. The band has made a splash internationally in recent years, nominated for two 2 awards at the Icelandic Music Awards, performing memorable shows across Europe, including Eistnaflug, Roadburn 2018 ( three sets!) and Bloodshed Fest.
