Maryland Deathfest and Their Related Metalfests to Go On Hiatus in 2023

In a statement posted on social media, Maryland Deathfest is going on hiatus after the next MDF event in May 2022. That means in 2023 all of their related festivals are going on hiatus, including MDF, Netherlands Deathfest, California Deathfest, and more. MDF has operated for almost 20 years, put on 19 fests, and expanded to a global footprint, all while giving a greater voice to Death Metal, Avant-Garde Metal, Stoner Doom, and more genres, perhaps as much or more than any fest in the world. Hypocrisy Shares Their Cover of “Too Drunk To F**k” by Dead Kennedys


Hypocrisy has shared their cover of Dead Kennedys hardcore punk classic “Too Drunk To F**k!” The track is a digital single now on all digital platforms! The 7” single version released on vinl vinyl was released in 2013 and included cover versions of Dead Kennedys’ “Too Drunk To F**k” and “They Lie” by The Exploited, and both tracks are now available. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Bloodstock Open Air 2019


Now in its nineteenth year, the annual metal pilgrimage to Bloodstock Open Air at Catton Hall in Derbyshire was joined this year by a very special, but highly unstable, guest.

The weather.

Yes, I know it’s England in August, and we should be more than accustomed to inconsistent weather conditions, but this really was something else. Tents too hot to be inside one moment were waterlogged the next. People soaked to the skin by sudden, torrential downpours were suffering sunburn minutes later. Grass turned to mud, mud became rivers, and the unprecedented winds would go on to cause problems all of their own.Continue reading

Judas Priest Announces Wacken 2020 Headline Slot, 50th Anniversary Tour Kickoff


Judas Priest will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year and will kick off a celebratory world tour next spring/summer, which will include Wacken 2020. Amon Amarth Books European Tour This Fall


Riding high on their new album Berserker (Metal Blade/Columbia), Amon Amarth has booked a tour of Europe later this year. For exclusive shows booked for the UK, Arch Enemy and Hypocrisy will act as direct support. Other openers will be named soon for other countries. All dates for the tour can be seen below. Bloodstock Open Air is in 8 Weeks, Adds More Jager Stage Bands


Bloodstock Open Air, the best independent Metalfest in the world has added two more bands to its 2019 bill. Skypilot, Graves, Beggar, Black Shuck, Foul Body Autopsy, Jailbirds and Womanowar have all been added. More Jager stage bands will be announced next month.
