In a sad development for the European summer festival season, Dynamo Metalfest has been forced to postpone this year’s event to next summer, 21 and 22 of August, You can read the fest’s statement below, with information about rolling over tickets to next year, and if you must, refunds. Trivium recently shared their first new single and video from their expected next album, “In The Court Of The Dragon.” The track and video also feature an epic intro composed and orchestrated by Ihsahn (Emperor). Now the band has shared images from their compound, based in an abandoned airplane hangar in Flordia. The band made news at the height of the pandemic in 2020 – buying the hangar to convert it into a recording studio, Metallica-style HQ, and streaming venue/video production stage with their earnings from their very first livestream. The band — Matt Heafy [vocals, guitar], Corey Beaulieu [guitar], Paolo Gregoletto [bass], and Alex Bent [drums] has been influential in validating livestreams and streaming economy in general for being a legit way for bands to augment their revenue in the face of the global shutdown. Although they lost a few international bands, the fest is rocking forward with headliners Amon Amarth, Heaven Shall Burn, along with Testament, Jinjer, Candlemass, Jinjer, Orange Goblin, Decapitated, Dress The Dead, LIK, and more! Thrash metal leaders Trivium have announced a tour of the UK for next fall, 2021. Direct support Heaven Shall Burn, TesseracT, and Fit For An Autopsy. Tickets will be available via an O2 pre-sale from 4pm Monday 7th December and a Gigs In Scotland/Live Nation pre-sale from 4pm Tuesday 8th December, with the general on sale beginning 4pm Wednesday 9th December. You can also order tickets from all the usual box offices.

It’s been four years since the German Extreme Metal act, Heaven Shall Burn, released their last album. After Wanderer (Century Media Records) came out, these hard-hitting fellas took a very justified break. Now with batteries recharged, they’re back with an adventurous new release. The band gifted us with the double album, Of Truth and Sacrifice (Century Media Records) earlier this month and it’s making quite the impression. Known for their aggressive sound and topical lyrics, this ninth full-length release is taking these extreme characteristics to a new level.
