Decibel Magazine’s flagship Metal and Beer fest in Philadelphia will host amazing bands, brewers and fans in 2020. Booked for April 3-4 at The Fillmore, and the lineup looks sick with full-album sets from Converge (playing 2001’s Jane Doe), Pig Destroyer (playing 2001’s Prowler in the Yard in full for the first time), and Napalm Death (playing a one-time-only set of 1990’s Harmony Corruption and 1992’s Utopia Banished), plus Mayhem, Satan, Night Demon, Haunt, Magic Circle, Un, and more TBA.Continue reading →


Haunt Surprise Releases A Brand New EP

Just weeks after digitally releasing their new full-length album If Icarus Could Fly, Haunt is back with a brand new unannounced EP! Mosaic Vision is out now via their Bandcamp page. The release will also see a physical release on CD, 12″ vinyl, and cassette tape formats via Shadow Kingdom Records by the end of May 2019. Haunt is a rising Trad metal band from Fresno, California began life as a solo project of Beastmaker frontman Trevor William Church and promptly self-released its debut EP, Luminous Eyes, during the summer of 2017.Continue reading →

Matt Pike (solo) of Sleep and High on Fire is the final artist added to the Magnetic Eye Records’ Black Sabbath Tribute, Vol. 4 Redux, the latest in their Redux series of reissues. Pike joins a star-studded Doom Metal genre list of bands including Zakk Sabbath, Thou, Spirit Adrift, The Obsessed, Bongzilla, Whores., Haunt, High Reeper, and Tony Reed. High On Fire Forced To Pull Out Of Tour With Municipal Waste

High On Fire has announced that due to a medical emergency with Matt Pike, they must pull out of their previously announced Speed Of The Wizard” co-headlining tour with Municipal Waste. The tour will carry on nonetheless with Toxic Holocaust And Haunt to open as planned. Pike needs emergency surgery to amputate part of one of his toes. The band made a statement. Decibel brings their excellent Metal and Beer Festival out west as they launch the next edition of the popular event in Los Angeles. Taking place at The Wiltern Theatre on December 1st and 2nd, the fest will feature amazing bands and craft brews galore. Testament will play a special set of classic albums classic The New Order And The Gathering in full, Thomas Gabriel Fischer and Triptykon will perform a special all-Celtic Frost set.
