Progressive metallers Third Ion will releasing their debut album 13/8Bit on May 25, 2015 via Glasstone Records. Album artwork comes courtesy of Harley K at Necrographix. Watch the album trailer below.

Third Ion is the product of a mutual love of prog, video games, and science. The debut album will contain eight to ten songs, including the title track which is written entirely in 13/8 time signature. 8-Bit musical renditions of every song will be released as well, to pay homage to their 1980s classic gaming inspirations.

Prog metallers Third Ion will release their debut album 13/8Bit in winter/spring 2015 via Glasstone Records. Watch their full studio performance video of the song “Zero Mass” here. . Lead single “Capitol Spill” can be streamed here.

The band features former Devin Townsend Band bassist Mike Young and Into Eternity guitarist Justin Bender, with drummer Aaron Edgar and vocalist Tyler Gilbert rounding out the band. Album artwork comes courtesy of Harley K at Necrographix.
