Greta Van Fleet Planning New Album For 2019 Release

Greta Van Fleet bassist Sam Kiszka has confirmed in a new interview with Australia’s Heavy Mat the band has begun writing for their second full-length album, and expect it to release later in 2019. Anthem Of The Peaceful Army debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s rock chart and No. 3 on the all-genre albums chart last year. It has also reached the Top 10 in Canada, Italy, and Germany. Kiszka commented “We were actually talking, and we all decided earlier this month that we need to do a record as soon as possible,” he said (hear audio below). “So the one thing I can say right now is that you can definitely expect Album 2 in 2019.” They have been nominated for four Grammy Awards; one for each major rock category — “Best Rock Album”, “Best Rock Song”, “Best Rock Performance”, and a “Best New Artist”.
