Fireball’s Hottest Band Competition Launches with Less Than Jake UK Tour


This fall Less Than Jake returns to the UK with Goldfinger, Save Ferris, Thieves Of Liberty and DJ Matt Stocks performing every night. Not only that Fireball’s Hottest Band Competition will see a new band join each night! Ticket price thereafter is £18. Thieves Of Liberty were the winners last year. Competition is open now and your band could join the tour! Competition closes at midnight on Wednesday 31 July 2019. One entry per band, entrants must be 18+ on date of performance and at least two members of the band must be based within 30 miles of the venue they are applying for. Goldfinger – The Knife


Goldfinger has returned with their first new material for nine years. Titled The Knife, (Rise Records), their newest opus is an interesting listen for old fans and casual listeners alike. It’s a bit of a mash-up of pop-punk, Ska, and Rock n’ Roll. It’s a lighthearted fun album to listen to; a very California sounding record that evokes beach and waves and even a hint of Sharknado! Black Veil Brides are in the studio with Producer John Feldman known for his own band Goldfinger (‘Here In Your Bedroom’) and produced the third BVB album, Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones. Their last effort, the self-titled album from 2014 was helmed by Metallica producer Bob Rock. The band released its first-ever concert DVD and Blu-ray Alive And Burning, in July 2015 and headlined Warped Tour. The cover artwork for the set was designed by the band’s longtime friend and previous album cover illustrator Richard Villa.

An Amnesia Rockfest documentary titled Montebello Rock Village: the story of Rockfest is currently in the works, and stream the trailer below. Ongoing project since 2010, the film will finally see the light of day this Fall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival. The film will tell the unique story of the event, from its modest beginnings with 500 festival-goers to present-day, now the largest rock festival in Canada.

Over 200 bands will be featured in the documentary. Members of Bad Religion, The Offspring, Pennywise, Korn, NOFX and Lagwagon appear in the trailer.
