Nine Inch Nails surprise-released two new albums: Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts. Consisting of 23 new instrumental tracks, they are described on NIN’s web site as “two different records for two different mindsets. Download now for free. Stay safe!” In addition to this being a great gift to fans in the time of coronavirus, this is a throwback to the Ghosts I-IV era of NIN when the band often surprise dropped albums and tracks to fans, only to sell limited edition physical versions later on. In 2019 NIN won many awards including a Country Music Award, for Lil Nas X’s and Billy Ray Cyrus’s song ‘Old Town Road’, which sampled the Ghosts I-IV album. Continue reading →
