The franchising of Download Festival continues after terrific forays into France and Spain with Sydney and Melbourne, Australia now shaping up to be one of the stronger festival lineups in recent memory. Six new bands have joined a killer lineup including Sum 41, Thy Art Is Murder, 12 Foot Ninja, Pennywise, Slaves (UK) and Voyager. They compliment the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, Alice In Chains, Ghost, Rise Against, The Amity Affliction, Anthrax, Halestorm,Behemoth, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Converge, Fever 333 and many more on Saturday, 9th March in Parramatta Park, Sydney (18+) and Monday 11th March (long weekend) at Flemington Racecourse, in Melbourne. Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, Alice In Chains And Ghost To Play Download Australia


Download Festival Australia has been announced for 2019, as a two-date festival experience in Sydney and Melbourne next March. Headling the festival are Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, Alice In Chains and Ghost are among the confirmed bands. These two shows will represent Ozzy’s only shows in Australia on the “No More Tears 2” tour. More bands will be announced soon. The two-date, five-stage affair, hitting Sydney’s Parramatta Park on Saturday, March 9 and Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Monday, March 11 has tickets on sale now.Continue reading

Lots of suggestive drama surrounding the Soundwave Festival in Australia as headliner Bring Me The Horizon tweeted that they were not 100 percent confirmed to play the event as originally reported, as the fest is scheduled to begin in January 23-26, 2016.
