Horton Records has announce its second annual 2 Minutes to Tulsa metal festival. The nonprofit music organization has expanded 2 Minutes to Tulsa to two days and two venues for 2024; The Vanguard on March 29 and Tulsa’s historic Cain’s Ballroom on March 30. They have also confirmed Cirith Ungol, Night Demon, Flotsam and Jetsam, and others for this second edition of the fest. Keep reading for more.

Flotsam And Jetsam Books Summer 2021 West Coast U.S. Tour


Legendary Thrash Metal band Flotsam And Jetsam have announced a brief tour of the USA, focusing on West Coast dates this summer. The “Brace For Impact Summer Tour 2021” kicks off on August 17th at Albuquerque, New Mexico, and ends on August 28th in Mesa, Arizona. Flotsam And Jetsam released its 14th album, Blood In The Water (read our review here), on June 4 via AFM Records.

ALBUM REVIEW: Nervosa – Perpetual Chaos


With only founding guitarist Prika Amaral remaining from their original 2010 line-up, Brazilian thrashers Nervosa return with a much more international look on their fourth full-length studio release, Perpetual Chaos (Napalm Records). Joining Amaral this time is Spanish vocalist Diva Satanica, Greek drummer Eleni Nota, and former Abbath bassist Mia Wallace.

Music Industry Legend Michael Alago’s Memoir Due Out Next Spring


Michael Anthony Alago, legendary music industry A & R executive who signed Metallica To Elektra and worked with the likes of everyone from White Zombie, Flotsam And Jetsam, Metal Church, and all the way to Hall of Famers like Nina Simone, will finally release his autobiography I Am Michael Alago: Breathing Music. Signing Metallica. Beating Death in March of 2020 via Backbeat Books. Co-written with Laura Davis-Chanin. Alago was the subject of the documentary by Drew Stone, “Who the F*ck is That Guy? The Fabulous Journey of Michael Alago” in 2017, which is now on Netflix. Alago’s book promised to be a no holds barred look into his life growing up in Brooklyn, his groundbreaking work in the music business surviving the Aids crisis, overcoming addiction, to his life in the present as a published and celebrated photographer and personality.
