2019, the year that closes the decade and with it a lot of interesting releases in the Heavy Metal world. In this article, you’ll get to see my top 20 favorite albums of the year. It was no easy task to choose just 20, a lot of talented bands released quality stuff this year, but I believe these are the ones that close the decade on a high note and gives us hope for more in the future.
Rising underground extreme band Venom Prison has been booked for the legendary Glastonbury Festival for their 2019 event. Glastonbury takes place June 26-30, 2019 in Somerset, UK. Venom Prison will perform twice at the Shangri La area of the festival. Venom Prison’s appearance is part of a stage curated by Earache Records which also features Gojira, Idles, and Employed To Serve. Venom Prison is prepping a brand new album and will tour the world in 2019. They have announced a full tour of Europe next spring/summer with Fit For An Autopsy, Vulvodynia, and Justice For The Damned. Full dates are below. Hatebreed who made hardcore influenced music mainstream has announced their 25th-anniversary headline tour for 2019. Formed when frontman Jamey Jasta was a teenager in Connecticut, Hatebreed has gone from a local phenom, a regional success story to an internationally hailed band. The first leg of the tour will feature support from Obituary and Cro-Mags, both bands an influence on Hatebreed. Terror and Fit For An Autopsy will also open. A second leg will be announced soon.
