The Astral Cadence Share Video Teaser, New Album Coming Next Week


New York’s instrumental prog metal masters The Astral Cadence have shared a new visualizer and album teaser. Their new album Paradigm drops on September 24th and is chock full of sweet progressive music jams and well thought-out epics. The band has made a name for itself inside the deep NYC scene for several years, having opened for the likes of Angel Vivaldi, Scale the Summit, The Fine Constant and Felix Martin. Angel Vivaldi has been one of my favorite guitar players on the planet ever since I first heard ‘A Mercurian Summer‘ back in 2011. Since then he has dedicated to his life to his music, and you can tell that through the progression of his past few releases. Barishi Tapped To Open The First Leg of the Felix Martin US Tour

Vermont based avant-garde prog metallers Barishi have been chosen as one of the national openers for 14 string guitar-wizard Felix Martin’s US tour. The run of dates lasting over a month kicks-off tonight in Los Angeles. Mixing equal parts At The Drive In, Tool and The Dillinger Escape Plan, the band has a refined sound and an explosive stage show that is not to be missed. Stinking Lizaveta and Dyse will also be performing on select dates. Check out their recent video for ‘Smoke From The Earth’ below:
