Metallica Shares a New Version of “Don’t Tread on Me” from “The Black Album Remastered”

Metallica has shared a previously unreleased demo version of “Don’t Tread on Me.” This track comes from The Black Album Remastered. Due out September 10th from Blackened Recordings. To celebrate thirty years of the biggest-selling album in rock or metal history, the band has long teased a celebration for their commercial blockbuster Metallica aka “The Black Album” all year. It is the best-selling album in the history of Nielsen SoundScan, outselling every release in every genre over the past 30 years. Now they have announced a massic digital, CD, and DVD – Blu-ray release. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, the Grammy-winning, 16-times-platinum-certified Black Album is receiving its definitive re-release. Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” Featured in Ford’s Superbowl Commercial

Metallica has allowed Ford Motor Company to use the 1991 Metallica hit “Enter Sandman” to serve as the soundtrack for its all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor — a desert-racing inspired version of its best-selling F-150 pickup. “Enter Sandman” has been used by NASA mission control to wake up space shuttle astronauts; it’s the entrance song for the Virginia Tech Hokies football team; and served as the entrance themes for Major League Baseball Hall Of Famer Mariano Rivera and Extreme Championship Wrestling’s Jim Fullington, also known as “The Sandman.” But only once before has it been licensed for a worldwide commercial spot, in a “Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare” teaser trailer.
