Dream Theater Announces their New Album “A View From The Top Of The World”

After much teasing on social media, Progressive Metal legends Dream Theater has announced their new album, their 15th, dubbed A View From The Top Of The World, due out on October 22nd, 2021 via InsideOut Music. The album is composed of seven-songs with artwork created by long-time cover collaborator Hugh Syme (Rush, Iron Maiden, Stone Sour). A View From The Top Of The World was produced by John Petrucci, engineered and additional production by James “Jimmy T” Meslin, and mixed/mastered by Andy Sneap.

With the upcoming international launch of DC Comics’, Dark Nights: Death Metal, seven of the most renowned metal music bands for Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition. Among them, Sepultura will team with artist Pedro Mauro to create the cover for issue #5. Others featured include Ozzy, Megadeth, Ghost, Dream Theater, Opeth and Lacuna Coil. Representing a cross-section of metal music from across genres and generations, each special edition will feature a variant cover spotlighting a different metal band, an introduction from the band, and an exclusive interview.

Liquid Tension Experiment Shares New Teaser with a New Song!

As we previously broke the news that broke the metal interwebz this week, Liquid Tension Experiment are back! They have a new label and a new album ready to drop, after signing with InsideOutMusic for the release of their 3rd album. The album is set for a Spring 2021 release, 22 years after the bands’ last studio album. The legendary supergroup comprised of Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Sons of Apollo), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), and Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel) has signed with InsideOutMusic for the release of their 3rd album. ALBUM REVIEW: Fates Warning – Long Day Good Night

Over 35 years ago, Fates Warning was one of the main trailblazers and influencers in the Progressive Metal movement. With so much history, there has been a lot of lineup changes throughout the years, but the band has always been known for its exploration and expansion of the scene. Even today this East Coast act is still examining their special sound. Earlier this month FW released their newest full-length album, Long Day Good Night (Metal Blade Records). These boys went big and completed 13 songs to celebrate their 13th full-length release. The group took their time to dig deep into their assorted inclinations to expose the wealth they found there.
