Bloodstock Open Air 2022 has shared a big update. including their plans for their Club Nights, and Plans with Sophie Lancaster Foundation and Derbyshire LGBT+, as well as added 2 more bands to the lineup. Static-X and Tallah have dropped out, replaced by Dark Tranquility and Defects respectively. The comeback of the fest in 2021 was great and you can read our review here. Headliners for BOA 2022 are Lamb Of God, Mercyful Fate and Behemoth. Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 11th-14th August 2022.

Avatar, Thrown Into Exile, Pupil Slicer, Cage Fight, and Ill Nino Booked for Bloodstock 2022


Bloodstock Open Air 2022 has added 12 more bands to the lineup for this summer, including Avatar, Thrown Into Exile, Pupil Slicer, Cage Fight, and Ill Nino, Vended, Sorcerer, Red Method, and Baest. More bands will be added soon and the festival has announced their ticket deposit plan. Day tickets will go on sale in the ticket store on Friday 4th February at 9am, priced £65 (+bkg fees) for adults and £20 (+bkg fees) for children (4-11 years). Kids under 4 go free! Jimmy Webb – Rock N Roll Fashion Icon Has Died, Age 62


A legend of Rock N Roll has died. Jimmy Webb, who dressed four generations of rockers and fans from his East Village boutique Trash and Vaudeville. He was 62. At press time there has been no official cause of death. Jimmy spent many years as the manager and primary buyer for Trash and Vaudeville before opening his own boutique, I Need More, in 2017 on Orchard St. Over the years Webb had styled for MTV, Rolling Stone, and Vogue, and regular customers/clients were a Who’s Who of punk and rock, including Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Debbie Harry, Slash and many more. One of the holdovers from the 1980s punk and metal spirit of the era, he helped define that class of that era, and Jimmy continued to innovate and create looks synonymous with the rock, punk and metal ethos. We met Jimmy several times over the years, notably when we interviewed his friend Doyle on his tour bus in 2018. Continue reading

Watch Fan-Filmed Video of The Original Misfits Performing in Philadelphia


The Original Misfits (Danzig, Jerry Only, Doyle, Dave Lombardo, Acey Slade) played last night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Wells Fargo Arena for what might be the final time, following the show earlier this fall at Madison Square Garden in New York, that Glenn Danzig had said would be the very last. Direct support came in the form of Dropkick Murphys and Agnostic Front. In spite of the bands; notorious cell phone policy, watch fan-filmed video from the show and check out the setlist.

Glenn Danzig Says Upcoming New York City Show Will Be Final Misfits Reunion Show


In an interview at the premiere of Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell movie the other night, Glenn Danzig was quoted as saying nest month’s show at Madison Square Garden, on October 19, will be the last. The initial comeback performance by MISFITS members Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein took place at the 2016 Riot Fest. The estranged bandmates played together for the first time since 1983 and were backed by former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade.Continue reading


Life Of Agony Officially Announces “Sound of Scars” UK Tour with Doyle


As Ghost Cult broke the news last weekend, Life of Agony will embark on a fall tour of the UK to support the release of their upcoming album due out in October via Napalm Records. Direct support will come from Doyle. More worldwide dates to be announced soon. The band are putting the finishing touches on their concept album The Sound of Scars is being produced by Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down), whose work has received multiple Grammy Awards and nominations, along with (with mixing duties helmed by Massy), have tapped esteemed engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Soundgarden) to master the record.
