Sharon Osbourne Hits Back at Donald Trump for His Use of Ozzy’s “Crazy Train”

Ozzy Osbourne At Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, by Stephanie Cabral (with permission MSOPR)

Let is never be said that Sharon Osbourne is not a fierce opponent when crossed. She has hit back in a statement against President Trump for the unauthorized use of her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s classic metal anthem ‘Crazy Train”. The track showed up in a new political video by Trump and vis vice president Mike Pence, that constitutes a political ad for the 2020 election. Read her response. Sharon, to her credit, suggested Trump steal a song from Kanye West, Kid Rock or Ted Nugent. Continue reading

ALBUM REVIEW: Rammstein – Rammstein

It’s almost unbelievable to think that ten full years have passed since Rammstein released their last full-length studio album. During that decade, Brexit has divided the UK in a way not seen since the English Civil War, (with Donald Trump doing pretty much the same in the US), the Marvel Cinematic Universe has released no less than TWENTY blockbuster movies, Swedish Satanists Ghost have risen to become one of the biggest hard rock acts in the world, and Liverpool still haven’t won the Premier League. Continue reading

Bad Religion – Age of Unreason

You know what’s the best thing about Bad Religion’s latest studio LP Age of Unreason (Epitaph Records)? How it’s such an honest and pristinely produced slab of melodic punk from a band that’s been rabble rousing since 1980. I mean, it’s futile to expect any different from this legendary Los Angeles outfit, but judging by the verbal ammunition in Age of Unreason’s chamber, it’s clear that today’s urine-soaked politics has clearly irked Bad Religion.Continue reading

Sick Of It All – Wake the Sleeping Dragon!

If the political and social swamp that is the United States in the year 2018 can have one positive, it is that it provides the perfect environment to create fierce extreme music or art. This isn’t lost on New York hardcore legends Sick Of It All who on Wake The Sleeping Dragon! (Century Media) tackle subjects ranging from the 1%, President Trump’s idiotic fucking wall and the institutionalized racism built into New York City’s infrastructure. One hell of a thesis.Continue reading

Otep – Kult 45

It’s no surprise given the current political landscape of the world, that our artists, musicians, and other creators are going to be the greatest champions for the people. It’s clear that the systems we have propped ourselves up on for decades such as government, schools, the church, brutal corporations and other institutions have failed us terribly. So, of course, Otep Shamaya and OTEP come back now with a new album to basically put everyone sucking the love out of this world on blast. Hitting ’em where it hurts verbally and bringing the heavy, Kult 45 (Napalm) is just the antidote if you’ve lost your faith about the future. Continue reading

OTEP Drops Fiery New Lyric Video For “ To The Gallows”

Otep is dropping a new album this summer via Napalm Records, Kult 45, and it promised to be a big one based on the first single from the album. ‘To The Gallows’ has white-hot lead lyrics and their trademark heavy grooves, as Otep Shamaya shreds the Trump administration and political phonies as a whole. Watch the lyric video here. Continue reading

King Goat – Debt of Aeons

To say that Brighton’s King Goat set themselves a high bar with début album Conduit (self-released) is like saying that Donald Trump is a wee bit controversial. To merely label them a Doom band is, similarly, doing the quintet a severe disservice: that début was laced with emotional vocals, choirs overlaying evocative bridges, and light, textured instrumentalism. It was a tour de force precious few expected.Continue reading

Ministry – AmeriKKKant

Has there ever been a better time to draw up material for a new Ministry album? This hasn’t been lost on Al Jourgensen, who packs the latest Ministry release, AmeriKKKant (Nuclear Blast) with as many ridiculous Donald Trump samples as he can find.Continue reading
