Finally things are opening up again and their debut album Dirty Honey is out, and its sound is firmly rooted in 1970s rock.

California rockers Dirty Honey took to the hills – with suitcases in tow – and shot an acoustic performance clip of their song “Down The Road’, for the newest installment in their “Suitcase Sessions” video series. Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, Dirty Honey launched the series when the band had to cancel its plans to travel to Australia to record new music with producer Nick DiDia, as well as perform their first-ever concerts there and in Japan. The video’s gentle transition from late afternoon to dusk is courtesy of cinematographer Nick Almanza and Director of Photography Jonathan Suarez.
Rising rockers Dirty Honey aligned with Amazon Music in December 2019 to record a blistering cover of Aerosmith’s ‘Last Child’, exclusively for the “Amazon Original” series. The track was recorded at the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville and produced by six-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile). The cover is a faithful, fantastic rendering of this Aerosmith deep cut. The band has a ton of upcoming tour dates and music festivals booked for 2020. Watch the ‘Last Child’ now! Continue reading

Rocklahoma 2019. Three days in the sun, dust, and more sun over Memorial Day weekend (four days technically if you count the Thursday night pre-party). This was the 12 year of this annual festival and it was set to be one for the books from the get-go. Getting to this massive party was no small task on my part. Driving from New Hampshire to Oklahoma isn’t exactly a relaxing Sunday drive. Two full days of driving, two full-on tornadoes, and 1,700 miles later, I had arrived at my Air BnB in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roughly 50 minutes outside of Pryor.Continue reading
