The crew including members of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, The Locust, Suicidal Tendencies, Retox, and more, has dropped a new single “Reign of Error!” The song is the first taste of their new album II via Ipecac Recordings. Testament Announces New Drummer- Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Mr. Bungle, Dead Cross)


Testament announced on SiriusXM Liquid Metal with Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin, that the bands’ new drummer is none other than former Testament drummer Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Mr. Bungle, Dead Cross). Lombardo, replaces Gene Hoglan, and was in the band from 1998-1999 for The Gathering record and subsequent tour. The band and Mangin commented about the return:

Underground Grindy Hardcore band Deaf Club has shared a new video for their track “For a Good Time, Call Someone Else!” The song comes off their highly-anticipated new album, Productive Disruption! It will be released January 6th, 2022, via Three One G! Deaf Club Share Charity Single and Video for Their Cover of “The Wait” by Killing Joke


San Diego-based Hardcore Punk and Metal collective Deaf Club have dropped a tight new cover and video of Killing Joke’s classic track “The Wait.” The video was created by Displaced/Replaced. The track is available digitally on Bandcamp for people to pay what they want, and all proceeds from now until Jan. 4th will go to support the state of Georgia U.S. Senate runoff election, which may have dire consequences for the USA, following the traitorous reaction to the results of the 2020 Presidential Election. The band consists of underground scene leaders such as Justin Pearson (The Locust, Dead Cross, Planet B), Brian Amalfitano (ACxDC), Scott Osment (Weak Flesh), Jason Klein (Run With The Hunted), and Tommy Meehan (The Manx, Chum Out!). The band released their debut EP and Contemporary Sickness, as well as a Remix cassette EP of bonus remixes featuring GothBoiClique’s YAWNS, Bubblegum Octopus, 304angstroms, and DJ Embryonic Petit Sac. Watch Mike Patton Join S.O.D. for “Speak Spanish or Die” from Quarantine


As we have been saying Charlie Benante has been killing it in quarantine, teaming up with many of his famous metal musician friends to play covers from quarantine. Now he has again reteamed with featuring Mike Patton (Faith No More, Dead Cross, Mr. Bungle) and they have done their classic song ‘Speak English or Die’, recast as ‘Speak Spanish or Die’. Mr. Bungle, fronted by Patton, played the song on tour this February. Last month S.O.D., which includes Benante, his Anthrax bandmate Scott Ian, and Dan Lilker, teamed up for renditions of ‘March Of The S.O.D.’ and ‘Chromatic Death’. Patton makes an appearance in the accompanying video as “The Lonely Rager,” complete with a cowboy hat and bandana mask. Watch it now!

Mr. Bungle Teases More Behind The Scenes Images from The Recording Studio


A few days after teasing a new recording, Mr. Bungle has shared more photos on social media (Instagram and Twitter). The band is apparently in the studio working on new recordings, likely with the lineup that just performed the Mr. Bungle reunion shows last month. Joining Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn and Trey Spruance for those shows were Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and Suicidal Tendencies and Dead Cross drummer Dave Lombardo. In addition to performing all of The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny demo, the band performed several “new” songs live that were just early unreleased Bungle hardcore songs, eight covers and ten originals overall during their shows. The band has not released any new music since their California album in 1999. Any new Mr. Bungle release would be a cause to celebrate so fingers crossed! Continue reading

Supergroup Dead Cross Enters The Studio to Track Their New Album


According to a report by Blabbermouth.net, SoCal Hardcore supergroup Dead Cross, which is comprised of Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits), Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Mondo Cane, Tomahawk), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival Of Dead Deer), has entered the studio to begin recording its second album, due tentatively in 2020. Once again producing the group is Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit), who previously worked on Dead Cross’s 2017 self-titled debut LP. The band broke the news of the latest recording sessions in a tweet on Wednesday (December 4). Mike Patton Cancels NFL Appearance Due To Illness


Mike Patton (Faith No More, Dead Cross, Mr. Bungle, Mondo Cane, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Fantômas) was slated to sing the US National Anthem ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ yesterday before the Dallas Cowboys versus the Los Angels Rams NFL Playoffs game. Sadly, at the last-minute, Patton canceled due to illness. Too bad since Patton is a legend and it would have been rad to see him sing in a more traditional setting. Get well soon Mike! We hope you get another shot someday.
