Slipknot Postpones Knotfest Japan for a Third Time


Leaders of the metal genre with their music, lifestyle and music culture website and series of international festivals, Slipknot has announced the third postponement of their planned Knotfest Japan since the pandemic. Knotfest Japan will now take place on April 1-2, 2023. The band posted about this on their socials today and also announced a Japan only replay of their Knotfest LA livestream.

The Black Dahlia Murder Postpones Their Upcoming European Tour with Rings of Saturn and Viscera


The Black Dahlia Murder who just completed a tour of North America with no COVID-19 outbrakes has postponed their upcoming early 2022 headline tour and run of festivals of Europe due to COVID. The band shared a statement on social media to announce it to fans. Rings of Saturn and Viscera would have provided direct support. The band is hoping to rebook at a later date, so there is no info yet about refunds for fans.

Stone Temple Pilots Cancels the Remaining Dates of Their Tour Due to Covid


Stone Temple Pilots has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on their current tour due to COVID-19. A member of their crew has contracted the coronavirus and the band has canceled their final dates of their fall tour out of an abundance of caution: including Daytona, FL at the Welcome to Rockville Festival and Tulsa, OK at the Skyline Event Center. Bush had previously postponed their planned participation on the tour as the co-headliner due to the pandemic. STP’s next booked tour dates are this winter in Australia.

Lamb Of God Postpones European Tour with Kreator Until 2022


Lamb Of God have confirmed that due to restrictions in various territories, they have had to postpone their intended ‘State Of Unrest’ UK headline tour until late 2022. Lamb Of God’s headline UK trek will now take place December 2022. German Thrash kings Kreator are still on the bill. Joining them are Thy Art Is Murder and Gatecreeper. Power Trip is now off the bill, following the passing of frontman Riley Gale in August of 2020.

Sepultura Has Postponed their Upcoming Tour with Sacred Reich and Crowbar


Thrash legends Sepultura have postponed their upcoming tour with Sacred Reich and Crowbar. The dates will now take place in fall of 2022. All tickets purchased for the current tour will be valid for the new dates. Sad news as Swedish metallers Avatar have postponed their current North American tour and run of festival dates due frontman Johannes Eckerstrom contracting COVID-19. CONCERT REVIEW: The Metal Tour of The Year with Megadeth – Lamb of God – Trivium and Hatebreed – Live at The Concord Pavillion


 

It had been 511 days, 16 hours, and 42 minutes, and 57 seconds since my last show, but who’s counting? I had fseen one local show, filled with riffs, crowd surfers, headbanging, booze, but mostly stress and trepidation. Still, I needed to see shows again, and see this tour in particular. The Metal Tour of The Year with Megadeth – Lamb of God – Trivium, and Hatebreed was coming and I was excited for it. Not just because this was the first major metal of this scope tour since the abyss that was the last year and a half, but because of the greatness of the bands, We are by no means out of the water with regards to the pandemic, but for a few hours we could forget about our troubles and enjoy some metal for a while.
